Marlena Hinkle Cheshire

Marlena is completing her PhD in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Stanford. She is from Melbourne, Florida and graduated from Yale with a B.S. in Environmental Engineering and a B.A. in Italian. Her research investigates the formation of high molecular weight disinfection byproducts during various disinfection processes. Specifically, she is interested in quantifying halogenated biomolecule-derived byproducts and halogenated aromatic byproducts in drinking waters. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outside with her husband and son, climbing, and reading.
